Windows in factories, offices and warehouses without effective insect and dust protection let in insects and accumulate dust, affecting the working environment and equipment cleanliness. Compared with PVC or fiberglass screens, 304 stainless steel screen mesh is stronger, more corrosion resistant and longer lasting; it does not become brittle or discolored from UV or humidity, so it lasts longer and can be used in coastal salt-spray environments or industrial sites that need to stay clean-looking for a long time.
Several sizes are available and can be cut to fit your windows. Please ask about sizes not listed.
Product features
| Feature | Details |

Selection advice: for general insect protection, 18 × 16 mesh (18 × 16 openings per inch) is recommended — the openings stop common mosquitoes. For dust or very small insects, choose a finer mesh; please tell us the intended use when you ask.
How to read screen mesh specifications
In Taiwan, stainless steel is commonly called “baitie” (white iron), so “baitie screen”, “stainless steel screen” and “304 screen mesh” all refer to the same kind of product. Two numbers define the specification: mesh count (openings per inch — the higher the number, the finer the openings) and wire diameter (thickness of the steel wire). Sizes currently on this page:
| Item | Mesh / wire diameter | Size | Ordering |
|---|---|---|---|
| 304 stainless steel insect screen mesh | 22 mesh, 0.15 mm wire | 0.8 × 30 m | Single roll / three rolls |
| 304 stainless steel wire mesh | 180 mesh | 1000 × 6000 mm | Made to order (no tolerance requirement) |

FAQ
Is “baitie” screen the same as stainless steel screen? Yes. “Baitie” is the common Taiwanese name for stainless steel, so baitie screen, stainless steel screen and 304 screen mesh are the same kind of product. The material on this page is 304 stainless steel.
How do I read screen mesh specifications? What does “mesh” mean? Mesh count is the number of openings per inch (25.4 mm) of length; the higher the count, the finer the openings. The opening width is approximately “25.4 ÷ mesh count − wire diameter”: for the 22 mesh, 0.15 mm wire screen on this page, the opening is about 1.0 mm. General insect protection usually uses around 18 × 16 mesh; for smaller insects or dust, choose a finer mesh.
Can I buy just one roll? This page sells whole rolls, as a single roll or three rolls; the 180 mesh fine mesh is made to order. Request a quote online, stating the mesh count, size and quantity.
How is the price of stainless steel screen mesh determined? Mainly by mesh count and wire diameter, width and length, and order quantity. Provide these three items together with the intended use to receive a quote.
Does 304 stainless steel screen rust? 304 has good corrosion resistance in general outdoor and humid environments, but in long-term exposure to coastal salt spray or chlorine-containing cleaners, rust spots may still appear on the surface; rinsing regularly with clean water extends its life. Where higher chlorine resistance is needed, consider 316 stainless steel.
