Antistatic vacuum-formed square trays: cavity length ≤ 30 mm

Most damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD) can’t be seen on the line. A component passes functional testing, but its gate oxide is already slightly damaged and fails early after a few hundred hours of real use. This “latent ESD damage” is one of the hardest quality problems to trace in electronics manufacturing.

Ordinary clear PS trays have surface resistance above 10¹² Ω; they are insulating and build up static charge. Antistatic trays use modified material that keeps surface resistance in a range where charge dissipates slowly, preventing sudden discharge.

Cavity count is the number of cavities per tray. If your size isn’t listed or you need a custom tray, request a quote below. All models are antistatic.

Three steps to choose

Step 1: confirm the cavity size. Measure the component’s long side (L) × short side (W) × highest point (H), add 0.5–1 mm clearance to each, and match against the cavity size column in the table. A cavity that’s too large lets the part rattle and get damaged in transit, as if there were no tray at all.

Step 2: confirm the cavity count and tray size. Plan the cavity count by batch kitting quantity or per-station usage. Consider the bench space at the workstation, the space at the SMT loading area, and whether the tray must match standard tray sizes for automated equipment.

Step 3: confirm the wall thickness (for models listed as 0.6T / 0.8T, etc.). Some models list wall thickness (such as 0.6T or 0.8T), which affects cavity accuracy and overall rigidity. For automated loading or robotic picking, choose a thicker version for dimensional stability; for manual picking, thickness matters less.
