Plug in the USB on arrival, and the temperature report appears by itself
For cold chain goods, the most convincing evidence of whether the temperature went out of range between shipment and delivery is a logger that travels with the goods. A single-use temperature logger is designed for one-way shipping: hold the button to start it before shipping, and it begins recording after a delay. On arrival, plug it into a computer’s USB port and a PDF report (with temperature curve and every reading) is generated automatically, with no software to install. The report is encrypted and cannot be copied or edited. The AE-BUT can also be set up through a phone app over Bluetooth to set the logging interval and view and share reports.

How to use it
- Before shipping, hold the button for about 5 seconds to start it. Recording begins after a start delay (the AE-BUT label states 30 minutes), so allow time for it.
- Put it in the carton and ship it with the goods; a short press during transit adds a marker (for example at a handover).
- On arrival, plug it into a computer’s USB port and the PDF report is generated; the AE-BUT can also be viewed in the phone app.
- It stops automatically when full. It is a single-use product: once recording starts it cannot be stopped or reused.

FAQ
Single-use or reusable logger — which should I choose?
For one-way cold chain shipments where the logger does not come back, such as exports or deliveries to the end user, use a single-use logger with no return needed. For warehouses, refrigerators and fixed routes that need long-term monitoring, choose a reusable model, for example FRESHLIANCE AL-30 for cold chain storage, T&D TR-72NWS for WiFi temperature and humidity transmission, or LogTag TRIL-8 for −80°C dry ice shipping.
Do I need to install software?
No. Plug it into a computer’s USB port and the PDF report is generated automatically; the AE-BUT can also be viewed and shared in the phone app over Bluetooth.
Is there an over-temperature alarm?
The AE-BUT has one: a red light flashes when the reading goes outside the alarm limits, and the PDF report lists the alarm events. For how to set the limits and for the AE-UT’s alarm function, please email us.
Can it measure humidity?
No. The AE-UT and AE-BUT measure temperature only. To record temperature and humidity together, use the T&D TR-72NWS instead.
