Why use curved-blade scissors to open packaging?
Ordinary scissors have straight blades, so when cutting open cartons or milk cartons they easily cut too deep, damaging the contents or the user. The curved (“eagle beak”) design keeps the blade at an angle to the material surface, cutting only the surface layer without going deeper — for taking apart composite packaging layer by layer (such as Tetra Pak cartons, paper boxes and multilayer packaging).
