Counterweight Material Lift Cart | Non-Powered, Self-Leveling Tote Platform, 30 kg, 150–850 mm

A constant picking height: lowers as you load, rises as you pick

When totes are stacked beside the line, each one sits lower than the last, and the final ones have to be picked from the floor. This counterweight cart needs no power and no buttons: the platform hangs on a steel cable running over a pulley at the top to a counterweight at the back. As totes are stacked on, the platform sinks under the weight; when one is taken off, the counterweight pulls the platform up, so the top tote stays at about the same height.

How to use

  • Set the counterweight to the tote weight first: each counterweight level matches the weight of one tote (2 kg blocks on the standard cart, adjustable).
  • Loading: stack a tote on the platform; it lowers one level and the top tote stays at the same height.
  • Picking: take a tote off; the counterweight lifts the platform one level and the next tote rises to the same height.

Applications

  • Line-side replenishment: staging and picking tote boxes beside assembly and SMT lines
  • Warehouse picking and packing areas: pick tote by tote without bending
  • Workstations that need less bending and repeated lifting

Works with

  • Removable-divider totes 400 × 600 × 350 mm: the same footprint as the platform, so they don’t overhang.
  • Black ESD totes (without lid) for electronic parts: the standard platform takes totes up to 535 × 380 mm outside; for larger totes, the platform can be made to size.

FAQ

What is the difference between counterweight and spring types? Neither needs power. The counterweight type balances with weights that you add or remove for each level, for totes of constant weight and a stable height. The spring type uses extension springs, needs no weights and is lighter, for lighter loads. Ask us for spring-type specifications.

Can it handle totes of different weights? The counterweight type keeps the height by matching one level of weights to one tote, so it is accurate when totes weigh about the same; if weights vary a lot, the platform stop position shifts. Tell us the weight range per tote and we will set the counterweights, or suggest a powered sensor-type cart instead.

How many totes can be stacked? It depends on three things: total weight not over 30 kg, 4 counterweight levels (one per tote), and the platform travel of 150–850 mm. Send us the tote size and weight per tote and we will confirm.
