An ESD four-leg stool is a work stool with four legs supporting the seat at a fixed height: no height adjustment and no gas lift, a simple structure and a stable stance, one of the most common work stools on electronics production lines, assembly stations and in labs. This page brings together the manufacturer’s steel tube four-leg stools and stainless steel tube four-leg stools (with foot ring), with PP plastic, PU foam, PU or stainless steel seats, 30–70 cm high, 34 models in all, and custom versions are available.
How our pages are organized: fixed-height four-leg stools are on this page; for height-adjustable round stools, see height-adjustable round stools (four-hole seat); for standard and armchairs with backrests, see ESD adjustable chairs with backrest; for saddle, handle or horn seats and standing stools, see saddle, handle and horn seats. Back to the ESD chair overview: eight style pages grouped by backrest, seat material and height adjustment.

| Stainless tube four-leg stool (with foot ring), stainless seat | Four stainless legs with a foot ring; round stainless seat; 40–60 cm | 5 |
Steel tube, PP seat (7 models): round PP plastic seat in blue or black (black 45–60 cm, blue 45–55 cm). The lowest-priced type on this page, for a simple fixed-height work stool.
Steel tube, PU seat (6 models): round PU seat in blue or black, 45, 50 and 55 cm. The manufacturer prices this separately from the “PU foam seat” below; the difference between the two is not stated, so ask us.
Stainless tube with foot ring, stainless seat (5 models): stainless frame and seat with a foot ring between the legs for a fixed foot position; the PU foam seat and stainless seat versions both come in 40–60 cm, in 5 cm steps.

Stool heights are as labeled in the manufacturer’s model names; heights are fixed and not adjustable. Ask us about combinations not listed. These are manufacturer labels; measurements may vary with tolerances, tools and methods.
How to choose
- Seat: PP plastic costs less; PU and PU foam seats are cushioned and labeled by the manufacturer as wear resistant and non-slip (they are two separately priced seats; ask us about the difference); stainless seats have a smooth surface (labeled smooth seat by the manufacturer).
- Frame: steel tube stools have crossbars; stainless tube stools (with foot ring) add a foot ring, convenient for resting your feet on taller stools.
- Height: measure the height from the work surface to the floor, then the height at which your feet rest flat when seated, and choose the matching stool height; heights are fixed, so ask if unsure.
- Need adjustment: if the height must suit different people, choose a height-adjustable round stool instead (see height-adjustable round stools, four-hole seat).
Use with
- A chair is only complete when grounded; for grounding methods and height references, see the ESD swivel chair specification sheet.
- Work surfaces: ESD workbench series, topped with ESD table mats.
- When seated, ground your wrist with an antistatic wrist strap (for cleanrooms).
FAQ
How do ESD four-leg stools differ from height-adjustable round stools? Four-leg stools have a fixed height, no casters and no gas lift, so they stand more steadily; adjustable round stools can be set to the user’s height, with casters or fixed feet. If one person uses the station and the work surface height is fixed, choose a four-leg stool; if users change or height needs adjusting, choose a height-adjustable round stool (four-hole seat).
How do I choose the stool height? Measure the height from the work surface to the floor, then the height at which your feet rest flat when seated, leaving room between them for arm and thigh movement. Heights on this page are 30–70 cm; the 70 cm model is a tall PU foam seat stool. If you can’t find the right height, ask us about custom heights.
Is there a surface resistance value or test report? For stainless tube four-leg stools (with foot ring), the manufacturer labels surface resistance at 10^5–10^8 Ω; for steel tube four-leg stools the labeling is incomplete, so ask us. There is no test report; measurements may vary with tolerances, tools and methods.
Is the stainless seat grade 304? The 201 and 304 in the model names are the manufacturer’s labeled grades; no composition testing has been done for this page. Ask us if you need to confirm the material.
Can you customize the height, seat or color? Yes, contact us. When requesting a quote, tell us the seat material, height, whether you need a foot ring, the color and the quantity.
How to request a quote: please tell us the type (steel or stainless tube, with or without foot ring), seat material, stool height, color, surface resistance requirement and quantity.
