ESD rubber table mat: green, black and halogen-free

Dissipative top layer, conductive bottom, priced by size.

An ESD table mat is the base accessory for static protection at a workbench. Connect the grounding clip to the mat, and static charge from components handled on the table is led away slowly through the dissipative layer, instead of discharging all at once and damaging a component (ESD). The rubber version has a two-layer composite structure, with several colours and thicknesses. It is cut to your table size or supplied by the roll.

Versions

Black ESD floor matBlack (matte)Dirt- and wear-resistantFloors, walkways, heavy benchesSheet, glossy available

Glossy versions (green / black) have a smoother surface and are easier to wipe clean on high-cleanliness workbenches.

Thickness

1.8 mm (standard) and 1.95 mm (thick). The 1.95 mm mat is made after the order is placed, for sites that specify the mat thickness. Both thicknesses can be cut to sheets or supplied by the roll.

Sizes and quotes

Mats are made to the actual workbench area, and the quote depends on size. Please give the bench width (cm) × length (cm). For rolls, give the width needed; the length is calculated as 10 m per roll. Small orders below 0.4 m² carry a small cutting fee, so please confirm it when you ask for a quote. If you need ground snaps, tell us the quantity and position (long or short side) when ordering.

Typical ESD values

  • Surface resistance: standard range 10⁶–10⁹ Ω; typical value 10⁷ Ω.
  • Bottom-layer resistance: standard range 10³–10⁵ Ω; typical value 10⁴ Ω.

Use points

  • Grounding is the key. The resistance value is only a necessary condition. The mat must be connected to a ground wire for static to dissipate. A mat that is not grounded is not protecting anything.
  • Use it with a wrist strap. The mat protects components on the bench; the operator’s own static must be grounded separately with a wrist strap. Together they form a complete ESD control.
  • Check the resistance regularly with an ESD meter. After long use, contamination can shift the surface resistance of a rubber mat, so check that it is still within specification.
