About these bags: shielding-type anti-static bags (also called static shielding bags) made of PET + CPP, sold in packs of 100; choose the style and size directly. They are silver-grey and semi-transparent, for packing static-sensitive electronic parts such as circuit boards, graphics cards, memory modules and hard drives. There are two styles, open-top and zip-lock (resealable), 142 models in all, with 111 outer sizes from 5 × 8 cm to 60 × 80 cm. As labelled, the material is PET + CPP with an anti-static coating on both sides, 15 si (0.15 mm) thick. No surface resistance or shielding performance value is labelled; please ask. These bags have no aluminium foil layer data and are not sold as moisture barrier bags.

Four kinds of anti-static bag
| Kind | Appearance | Key point |
|---|---|---|
| Anti-static bag | Pink, semi-transparent | Low charging, no shielding |
| Conductive bag | Black | Conducts, but conducting is not shielding |
| Shielding bag (this page) | Silver-grey, semi-transparent | In general, a shielding bag is meant to block external static fields; this product is labelled shielding type, with no metal layer or shielding performance data |
| Moisture barrier bag (MBB) | Opaque | Shielding plus moisture barrier |
How to choose
- Style: open-top bags are sealed however your process requires; zip-lock bags have a wide zip strip and can be opened and closed again.
- Size: the item size plus room for sealing. Sizes are labelled outer sizes with a small tolerance.
- Quantity: sold by the pack of 100; sizes from 40 × 40 cm: please ask.
Notes on use
Whether you need shielding packaging depends on where the parts go. Inside your ESD protected area (EPA), ordinary anti-static or conductive materials are usually enough; when parts leave the EPA (shipping, subcontracting, long-term storage), shielding packaging is recommended. Check against your own ESD procedures whether this product meets them. Before reusing a bag, check for pinholes, creases or damage. Ordinary hardware that is not static-sensitive does not necessarily need anti-static bags.
Common questions
What is the difference between shielding, anti-static and conductive bags? Pink anti-static bags only reduce their own charging and do not shield; black conductive bags conduct, but conducting is not shielding; shielding bags are meant to shield against external static fields.
Is there a surface resistance value or test report for these ESD shielding bags? No surface resistance value is labelled, and there is no test report for this product on the page; please ask.
Is this a metal shielding bag? “Metal bag” is a common name for silver-grey shielding bags. As labelled, this bag is PET + CPP with anti-static coating on both sides; no metal layer data is provided, so none is stated.
Can sizes or printing be customised? Yes, please ask.
