FESTO reed switches SME-1-LED-24-B / SME-8M-ZS
FESTO reed switches sense the magnet built into a pneumatic cylinder piston, giving contactless, wear-free position feedback for accurate positioning.
- SME-1-LED-24-B (151669): square housing, general purpose, 0.2 mm repeatability and ≤ 0.5 ms switching time — for standard automation equipment.
- SME-8M-ZS: round oil-resistant housing, IP68, rated down to −40°C, with a cable tested to 5 million drag-chain bending cycles — for harsh environments and moving mechanisms.

Drag-chain use: the PUR cable of the SME-8M-ZS has passed Festo drag-chain testing (5 million cycles, 75 mm bending radius), so it can be used for sensor wiring on moving mechanisms. Its −40°C rating also suits cold-storage equipment in semiconductor plants and outdoor machinery.
