The FUJI CP series (CP6, CP7, CP8) are earlier FUJI high-speed placement machines still widely used in Taiwanese electronics plants. The CP6 and the CP7 / CP8 use different nozzle mounting specifications and must not be mixed; the CP7 and CP8 share the same nozzle models, so both machines can use one set of spares. CP series nozzles fall into three types: standard round-hole, U-type (for cylindrical MELF components) and odd-form (terminal / key components).

Large pad vs small pad
Some CP6 bore sizes come in “large pad” and “small pad” versions. The large pad has a bigger tip face for stable pick-up of larger components; the small pad has a finer tip that can work where component spacing is tighter. When ordering, confirm whether you use the large or small pad version; if you are unsure, send us an existing nozzle for comparison.
What U-type (MELF) nozzles are for
MELF (Metal Electrode Leadless Face) components are cylindrical leadless parts, such as cylindrical resistors and capacitors, which a standard round-hole nozzle cannot hold securely by the curved side. The U-type nozzle has a semicircular opening that fits both sides of the MELF body, giving a stable vacuum seal and stopping the part from rolling off during high-speed placement. Any line whose BOM includes MELF components needs U-type nozzles in the matching bore sizes.
Keep CP6 and CP7 / CP8 apart: the two nozzle systems have different mounting bores and may look alike. When ordering, state your machine model clearly (CP6 / CP7 / CP8) to avoid the wrong version. The CP7 and CP8 can share one set of spares.
