This is part VI of our FUJI NXT feeder parts series, focusing on the tape transport mechanism: take-up belts, tape guide chutes, clip take-up gear sets and reel posts. These four types of parts directly decide how well the tape travels through the feeder. An aged belt, a worn chute or a shifted reel post all make feeding unstable, showing up as a higher pick-up error rate or placement offset.
Take-up belts come in three types by tape width: 8 mm (H45731), 12 mm (H45730) and 16–88 mm universal (H45732). Replace them about every 6–18 months; aged belts show surface cracks or stretch, and too little tension makes the take-up slip. Tape guide chutes (PM54896 / 2MDLFZ019400 / PM038G2) are split by width; once worn, the tape tends to slip out of the chute, so check chute wear depth by eye at every PM.
The clip take-up gear set (2ADLFB006104) fits W12 to W88 and is the core drive assembly of the take-up mechanism; as the gear clips wear, take-up tension drops noticeably. Reel posts (from PM25964) have separate models for each tape width and must match the feeder width; the wrong model makes the reel tilt or hang unsteadily. The side cover (PP02683) takes heavy loads in daily feeder handling; replace it promptly once damaged to protect the internal mechanism.

Selecting tape transport parts
- Take-up belts by width: 8 mm → H45731; 12 mm → H45730; 16 mm and above → H45732. Do not mix them; the wrong belt length causes weak take-up or tape jams.
- Visual check of tape guide chutes: replace as soon as bright scratch marks appear on the chute floor; continued use speeds up tape wear and feed offset.
- Reel posts by width: PM25964 (8 mm) to PM22382 (88 mm); always confirm the matching feeder width.
Pick-up error rate rising? Take-up belts and tape guide chutes are the first things to check, and stocking them costs far less than a line stoppage.
