Gas springs (gas struts)

QPQ nitrided rod, double oil seals, made to order.

Without proper support, equipment covers, machine hatches or light-box lids can drop while being opened and cause injury. A gas spring uses sealed nitrogen pressure to give a steady lifting force, so lids open smoothly without being held by hand. This series uses thick, high-strength seamless carbon steel cylinders. The piston rods are QPQ (salt-bath nitrocarburizing) treated for a hard, wear- and rust-resistant surface. Double oil seals prevent oil leaks, anti-wear hydraulic oil inside resists rust and temperature changes, and a dust boot keeps out dirt. Force, stroke length and end fittings can be made to your drawings or to the vehicle model and year.
