KEYENCE AP-C30W compound pressure sensor
The KEYENCE AP-C30W is a compound digital pressure sensor covering −101.3 kPa (vacuum) to +100.0 kPa (positive pressure), so a single unit can monitor both states in a pneumatic circuit. It has a digital display for real-time readings and two NPN open-collector outputs (OUT1 / OUT2) that connect directly to a PLC for process pressure interlocks. Key selection points: pressure range, output type (NPN / PNP) and wiring type.

The AP-C30 series is compound (vacuum + positive pressure); the AP-C40 series is for positive pressure only.
NPN or PNP? It depends on the PLC input module: Japanese PLCs commonly use NPN (sink) inputs, European PLCs commonly use PNP (source) inputs. Check the wiring of your PLC digital input module before choosing.

One sensor, two set points: with a compound sensor, OUT1 can watch the vacuum side and OUT2 the positive side. For example, on a nozzle circuit OUT1 alarms when vacuum is weaker than −50 kPa (insufficient suction) and OUT2 confirms vacuum break when pressure exceeds +20 kPa.
