Choosing between lens tissue and cleanroom wipers
The Kimtech (Kimberly-Clark) range on this page falls into two groups. Lens tissue (#34155 / #34256) is for precision cleaning of optical lenses. Cleanroom wipers (W5 #06179 / W4 #33330) are for cleanroom use: W5 for ISO Class 5 (Class 100) and cleaner, W4 for ISO Class 4 (Class 10) and cleaner. A lower class number means lower particle limits and stricter cleanliness.
Before use, make sure the lens surface is free of particles to avoid scratches. Wipe gently in circles from the center outward without pressing hard. Lens tissue is single-use; discard after wiping and do not reuse, to avoid recontamination.
