Medium Duty Shelving | Boltless Warehouse Shelving, 200–800 kg per Shelf, Powder-Coated Cold-Rolled Steel

Boltless shelving for warehouses, spare parts rooms and production lines

Medium duty shelving (also called boltless shelving, warehouse shelving or industrial shelving units) is built from uprights, beams and shelf panels. The beams hook into the holes in the uprights and the shelf panels sit on the beams — no bolts and no wrenches, and you can change the spacing between levels yourself. This page covers shelving rated 200, 300, 500 and 800 kg per shelf: widths 107–250 cm, depths 40–80 cm, heights 200 or 250 cm, 36 models in total, plus add-on shelf levels. Custom sizes are available.

This is general-purpose steel shelving, not an ESD model. For locations that hold PCBs or static-sensitive components, please ask us about our ESD chrome wire shelving and picking carts.

Starter unit, add-on unit and additional levels

  • Starter unit: uprights on both sides, can stand alone. Choose it for a single unit or the first unit in a row.
  • Add-on unit: attaches to the side of a starter unit and shares one pair of uprights with it. In a row of 3 bays you need 4 upright frames instead of 6, and add-on units cost less than starter units.
  • Additional shelf level: one shelf panel with beams, added to the same uprights; level spacing is adjustable.
  • The number of uprights, beams and shelf panels in each set is given on request.

How to choose

  • Estimate the weight per shelf: add up what one shelf will hold (cartons, trays, fixtures) and choose a rating above that figure. 200 kg suits parts bins, cartons and tools; 300 kg suits full cartons of material and finished goods; 500 and 800 kg are for heavier items. The rating assumes an evenly distributed load — tell us in advance about heavy point loads.
  • Measure the space: shelf depth should be a few centimeters more than the largest carton or tray; common widths are 120, 150, 180 and 200 cm; 200 cm high is standard, and 250 cm models are available where ceiling and aisles allow. Keep heavy items on the lower shelves.
  • Plan the row: in a continuous row, use a starter unit first and add-on units after it to save uprights and space.
  • Floor and anchoring: the floor must be level. In high or busy locations, fix the shelving to the wall or floor to prevent tipping — Taiwan is an earthquake zone, so this matters especially for shelving 200 cm or higher.

Applications

  • Warehouses and spare parts rooms: cartons, packaging, spares, consumables
  • Line-side racks for totes, finished and semi-finished goods (where ESD protection is not required)
  • Fixtures, molds, metal parts and tools: choose 300 kg or higher and keep heavy items low
  • MRO stores and storage areas in plants

Notes

  • Load ratings are rated values without a third-party test report; load the shelves evenly and stay below the rating.
  • Standard number of levels, upright hole pitch, weight of each model, packing size, shipping cost and delivery time are given on request.
