MTL SD32X surge protector
The MTL SD32X surge protector (surge absorber) absorbs surges, transient overvoltage and electromagnetic interference (EMI) on industrial control lines, protecting PLC input / output modules, sensors, transmitters and other sensitive electronics from damage. It mounts on a DIN rail between the power or signal line and the protected equipment, and is commonly used at PLC I/O and for instrument protection.

Installation tip: install the surge protector at the power inlet of the protected device or where the signal line enters the control panel, and keep the earth conductor short and thick (≤100 mm) so the surge discharge path has low impedance. This is general guidance; each installation should be assessed individually.
