Parts on this page: the Panasonic MV series (MV2F / MV2VB / MV2C) and MSH series are earlier high-speed placement machine platforms that are still running in SMT plants. This page lists 13 compatible feeder parts for MV / MSH, mainly Q-type flappers (flap / latch lever), reel springs, tape covers and reel inner and outer covers.
Q-type flappers: on MV2FQ machines the Q-type flapper comes in left (X708-25213-1) and right (X708-25212-1) versions, and the versions with a steel plate (X708-25058-6 / 8) are for specific tape opening positions. Confirm the side (L / R) and whether you need the steel-plate version before ordering; they look similar but work differently and are not interchangeable. Reel springs come in a small spring (MV2VB / MV2C / MV2F 8 mm low speed) and a large spring (MV2F / MV low speed); confirm the feeder sub-model before replacing.
Covers and hook: the MV2FQ 8 mm tape cover (X708-25918S), reel cover inner (X708-25214-2) and outer (X708-25216) are usually replaced together; when the tape cover is worn, the inner and outer covers have usually reached their replacement cycle too. The hook (N986MS1) holds the handle and breaks easily with frequent reel changes, so keeping 2–3 spares is worth considering.

Selection notes
- Q-type flappers have sides: left (X708-25213-1) and right (X708-25212-1) mount in fixed positions; confirm the side before ordering. The steel-plate versions have their own part numbers.
- Spring sizes: the small spring is used on MV2VB / MV2C / MV2F; the large spring on MV2F low-speed models. Confirm the feeder model before ordering.
- Replace the tape cover with the inner and outer covers: the three parts wear at a similar rate, so replacing them together during overhaul saves work.
