Panasonic DP-101 series digital pressure sensors cover a compound range of −100 to +100 kPa, with a dual display and NPN / PNP output. This page explains the difference between DP-101 and DP-101A, pressure unit switching and mounting accessory selection.
The difference is the output type. The Panasonic DP-101 series is a compound digital pressure sensor with a measuring range of −100 to +100 kPa (vacuum + positive pressure), and a two-line LCD shows the current value and the set value at the same time. DP-101 and DP-101A differ in output: DP-101 has NPN output, while DP-101A has a built-in analog voltage output (multi-function type). The suffix -E-P stands for “ECO power-saving mode + positive pressure port.”

Standard type vs multi-function type
The standard type (DP-101) has only on / off two-level output and can be used for pressure interlock alarms. The multi-function type (DP-101A) adds a 1–5 V analog output, so the live pressure value can be sent to a PLC analog input card for closed-loop control. If you only need high / low pressure alarms, the standard type is enough and costs less.

Switch pressure units freely
The DP-101 can switch between seven pressure units on the fly, and pressure unit label stickers are included. No manual conversion is needed — press the MODE key on the panel to change the displayed unit. This is especially useful for plants running Japanese, European and American equipment side by side.
Mounting accessories (optional)
The DP-101 body is compact (about 30 × 30 mm front face) and can be mounted in many ways. Panasonic offers several mounting brackets to choose from by mounting location:
