What the reflector plate does on an MSR machine
After an MSR nozzle picks up a component, the bottom optical system checks the part’s actual position and angle offset, and the machine corrects for it before placing. The accuracy of this bottom vision system depends heavily on the reflective quality of the nozzle reflector plate, which provides an even backlight so the camera can clearly see the component outline. If the plate surface is scratched, dirty or hazy, vision recognition fails, leading to placement offset or even dropped parts.

Cleaning: wipe the plate surface gently with a lint-free cloth and a little IPA (isopropyl alcohol). Do not use wire brushes or hard wipers, which can scratch the mirror coating. After cleaning, make sure no residue is left on the reflective surface. We suggest cleaning it monthly and adjusting the interval to your production volume.
Note: reflector plates for MSR machines do not fit other series (CM402 / CM602). Please confirm your machine is an MSR series model before ordering. We suggest stocking reflector plates together with MSR nozzles as spares.
