Round hole vs U shape: for ordinary chip components without leads, choose a round-hole nozzle for the largest vacuum sealing area. For SOP, QFP and other ICs with exposed leads, a round hole may press on the leads, so choose a U-shaped nozzle that supports the body from both sides and avoids the leads.
