Machines: Panasonic NPM-W
Why it matters: the support rod is a key support part in the board transfer and positioning system of the Panasonic NPM-W placement machine. It holds the board steady during placement and keeps solder joint positions accurate. A worn or bent support rod gives the board uneven support, which leads to placement offset, solder bridging and other soldering quality problems.
