Cushioning foam for packaging
The choice of packaging foam affects how many parts are damaged in transit. PE medium-density foam (MDPE foam) recovers more slowly after compression and gives steady support, spreading impact energy across the part, for heavier or precisely dimensioned components. The closed-cell structure does not absorb water and resists moisture, and the material is light, so it adds little to total package weight. Supplied as sheets, rolls or die-cut parts in white or black, and can be cut or die-cut to the product’s shape.
PE vs EVA foam: PE foam is firmer with slower recovery, suited to cushioning heavier parts. EVA foam is softer with a slightly tacky feel, suited to scratch protection for precision electronic parts. For packaging static-sensitive components, check whether an anti-static EVA version is required.
We supply PE medium-density foam for spare-part purchasing and quote custom cutting, with batch supply for factories.
