What the glass fabric backing does

This series uses glass fabric as the backing with an outer PTFE coating. The glass fabric gives dimensional stability and mechanical strength, so it doesn’t stretch or shrink easily through repeated heating and cooling; the PTFE surface gives high-temperature resistance (300 °C), non-stick release and chemical inertness. Together they suit long-term high-temperature, abrasive uses such as heat sealers and reflow oven conveyors.
