The RIKO SU18-NP is a U-shaped slot photoelectric sensor in a nickel-plated zinc alloy metal housing. Its fixed 18 mm slot width needs no optical axis alignment, and the 940 nm infrared LED light source effectively suppresses ambient light interference, withstanding incandescent light up to 5,000 lux. It detects non-transparent objects down to Ø1.0 × 10 mm, provides both NPN and PNP outputs with switchable D.on / L.on modes, and has a maximum response frequency of 1,000 Hz — for precise position counting on high-speed conveyors and electronics assembly equipment.
