Safe / Security Cabinet | Electronic Code + Key Lock, Bolt-Down, for Cash, Seals, Confidential Documents and Samples

Locked storage for cash, company seals, confidential documents and valuable samples

A safe is secure storage for plants and offices: a double-wall cold-rolled steel body (some models add drill-resistant plate), an electronic code lock and a mechanical key lock (usually both), and anchor holes in the base. It gives you a cabinet that is locked, hard to carry away and can be opened by authorized people only. This series covers general safes for plants and offices, including small seal cabinets, document safes and safes for molds and samples. A JIAHON affiliated company supplies customers throughout Taiwan.

  • Lock types: an electronic code lock allows 1–3 codes for different users, has no lost-key risk and can record opening times, but needs a battery change every 12 months. A key lock is low-cost and needs no battery, but the lock cylinder must be changed when a key is lost or a key holder leaves. Biometric and IC card locks are high-end options.
  • Fire rating: for cash and seals it is not required; for contracts, personnel records and customer drawings JIS S 1037 60 minutes is recommended; for process recipes and export-controlled paper records choose at least 60 minutes, preferably 120. JIS S 1037 (Japanese) and UL 72 Class 350 (US) both keep the inside at ≤ 177°C for paper, so the protection level is comparable. Both standards also have an additional test grade with rapid heating and a 9.1 m drop; check whether the catalog lists it.

Applications

  • Company seals, invoice stamps and contracts in finance and administration
  • Process recipes, yield reports and export-controlled documents in semiconductor and SMT plants
  • Customer PCB designs, mold drawings and quotations kept separately from general documents
  • Trial-run ICs and valuable mold samples

Care and maintenance

  • Replace the batteries every 12 months — don’t wait until they run out.
  • Never keep the spare key in the same safe; keep it in another safe.
  • Clean the hinges and door gaps every six months; a little machine oil may be applied to the hinges, but never to the keypad or electronics.
  • After a fire or flooding, replace a fire-resistant safe — the fireproof filling may no longer work.
