SIMCO 5710 series with μWire electrodes
The core of the SIMCO-ION 5710 series is the μWire (micro-wire) electrode, a very fine tungsten-alloy wire used as the emitter, with 50 mm nozzle spacing. It can be used for static removal on FPD (flat panel display) lamination and TFT-LCD films. The three models on this page form a complete system: the 1,250 mm bar, the 250 mm thin micro-wire module and the 4012509 power supply.

About the μWire electrode
The μWire electrode uses a continuous fine wire as the discharge element, giving many closely spaced discharge points along its length. This makes it suited to FPD film processes that need even static removal across large, thin workpieces such as G8 / G10 panels.
- Decay time < 1.5 s (±1000 V → ±100 V at 300 mm): fast decay keeps line cycle time unaffected.
- 4012509 power supply required: the 5710-1250mm bar has a DC 24 V input and needs the 4012509 power supply to generate the 8 kV that drives the electrode.
- 250 mm micro-wire module: a thin design that can be built into equipment or mounted beside a conveyor without taking up outside space.
