When aerating reactors and fermenters, the finer and more evenly distributed the bubbles, the better the gas dissolves. A sintered stainless steel sparger is made of sintered metal powder with a porous structure; it withstands heat and corrosion and doesn’t crumble like ordinary air stones. JIAHON supplies two types: 1/8NPT push-on hose barb and 1/2NPT thread.
Specifications
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Material | Sintered stainless steel powder (porous metal) |
| Type | 1/8NPT push-on (hose barb); 1/2NPT hex thread |
| Use | Gas dispersion (aeration), gas or liquid filtration |
| Pore grade | By model, given with the quote |
How to choose
- Connection type: for hose connections, choose the barb type; for mounting on pipework or a vessel, choose the 1/2NPT thread type.
- Finer bubbles or higher flow: smaller pores give finer, more even bubbles; larger pores give higher flow and lower pressure drop. Tell us the gas flow and pressure.
- Reusable after cleaning: sintered metal can be cleaned ultrasonically or by backflushing; the replacement cycle depends on the liquid used.
Applications
- Aeration of laboratory reactors and fermenters.
- Oxygenation of aquaculture ponds.
- Gas mixing and humidification.
- Filtration in liquid or gas lines.
Notes
- Pore size, flow and pressure rating depend on the model; specifications are given with the quote.
- Sintered filter elements in other sizes and connections are available on request.
