SKF CMAC 5095 Microlog USB cable

The SKF CMAC 5095 is a USB communication / power splitter straight cable for SKF Microlog portable vibration analyzers. It connects the Microlog to a PC for data transfer and supplies power at the same time, without a docking station. One end has a USB Type A plug and a 2.1 mm in-line DC socket; the other end has a Fischer SE103A057-130 plug. Total length is 2 m.

What it is for: after a vibration route, route data on the Microlog must be uploaded to the analysis software on a PC, and new routes downloaded to the instrument. The CMAC 5095 is the instrument-to-PC cable; its DC socket can be connected to the SKF CMAC 5090 universal power supply to power the instrument. It is not a sensor signal cable — accelerometers and proximity probes use separate sensor cables.

This page covers the SKF CMAC 5095. Per the SKF catalog, it is compatible with Microlog CMXA 45, CMXA 45/75-Z2, CMXA 48, CMXA 48/80-Z2, CMXA 70/44, CMXA 75 and CMXA 80. The CMAC 5090 universal power supply and other Microlog accessories are available on request.

Applications

  1. Route upload and download: after a vibration route (pumps, motors, HVAC fans, compressors), connect the Microlog to the PC to upload data and download the next route.
  2. Direct connection without a dock: per SKF, the CMAC 5095 allows USB communication and power without a docking station, for ad-hoc connection on the line or at a desk.
  3. Spare for route instruments: if the cable or plug is damaged, route data cannot be transferred; sites with tight route schedules may keep a spare.

Common mistakes

  • Using it as a sensor cable: it connects the Microlog to a PC and cannot connect an accelerometer or proximity probe.
  • Wrong instrument model: check that your Microlog model is in the compatible list before ordering.
  • Expecting a standard USB cable to work: the instrument end is a Fischer connector; a standard USB cable will not fit.
