SMC AR50-10BG-B regulator
The AR series modular regulator is a common pressure-regulating component in SMC’s air preparation range. The AR50 is the large-port version (Rc 1″), supplied with a pressure gauge and bracket.
What a regulator does
Compressor output pressure is usually high (0.7–1.0 MPa), while downstream equipment often needs only 0.4–0.6 MPa. The regulator, placed in the middle of an FRL unit, reduces the upstream pressure to the set value and keeps it stable, so downstream pressure stays constant even when upstream pressure fluctuates.

Selection note: the AR series is a standard regulator with accuracy in the ±10 kPa class. For ±1 kPa class precision, choose the IR series precision regulator. The two can be used in series: AR for coarse regulation, IR for fine. This is general guidance; please confirm for your application.
