SMC flow and pressure control: ITV1130 + AS2201F + ARM5SA
This page covers three SMC pneumatic control components with different functions; choose according to your needs:
- ITV1130 is an electro-pneumatic regulator that sets air pressure precisely from an analog signal output by a PLC or controller.
- AS2201F is a mechanical speed controller that throttles the airflow to a cylinder to control its speed.
- ARM5SA is a compact individual regulator for setting the pressure of a single circuit.
The three correspond to different levels of control and can be selected to suit your machine. Each is sold separately.
① ITV1130-31F1BS3 — electro-pneumatic regulator
The ITV1130-31F1BS3 is an SMC ITV1000 series electro-pneumatic regulator. It receives an analog signal (current or voltage) from a PLC or controller and sets the output pressure electronically, with no manual adjustment. Rc1/8 port, 3 m pre-wired cable, IP65, max. flow 200 L/min. Suitable for multi-station equipment or recipe control where pressure must be adjusted automatically by the program.
② AS2201F-01-06SA — elbow speed controller
The AS2201F-01-06SA is an SMC AS series elbow-type speed controller. Air flows freely in one direction and is throttled by a needle valve in the other, adjusting the cylinder speed. Rc1/8 threaded inlet with a Ø6 one-touch outlet fitting; the elbow design saves straight-line space and allows mounting directly on the cylinder port.
③ ARM5SA-06-A / ARM5SA-08-A — compact individual regulators
The ARM5SA-06-A (Ø6) and ARM5SA-08-A (Ø8) are compact individual regulators with one-touch fittings on both supply and outlet sides. A pressure gauge shows the set pressure at a glance; 14 mm wide, in-line design, for mounting on an equipment side panel or mid-line where an individual pressure setting is needed. Set pressure range 0.05–0.7 MPa.
