SMC ITV2050-042BL electro-pneumatic regulator
The ITV series electro-pneumatic regulator converts a current or voltage signal from a PLC into an accurate air pressure output, giving stepless pressure adjustment. It is a core component for precision pressure control on automated production lines.
What an electro-pneumatic regulator does
A manual regulator holds one fixed pressure set by its knob and cannot change it during a process. An electro-pneumatic regulator receives an analog signal from the PLC (current or voltage type) and converts it linearly into a matching output pressure — for example, the minimum signal gives the minimum pressure and the maximum signal gives the set upper pressure — so the PLC can change pressure precisely during the process.

Maintenance tips
- After power-on, the keys are locked and any key press shows “Loc”. To change settings, hold the DOWN key for more than 2 seconds; when “Loc” flashes, press SET to unlock.
- “Er” followed by a number indicates an error: Er1 input signal out of range, Er2 EEPROM read/write, Er3 memory read/write, Er4 solenoid valve failure, Er5 switch output overcurrent. Switch off the power, find and remove the cause, then power on again.
- To reset the settings, hold the UP and DOWN keys together for more than 3 seconds and release when “RES” is displayed.
- Filter the air supply to 5 μm. If lubrication is needed, install the lubricator on the outlet side of this valve, not the inlet side.
- The valve is adjusted at the factory; do not disassemble it.
- If supply pressure is lost while power is still on, the solenoid valve will keep chattering — switch off the power. Fully insulate the ends of unused monitor-output wires. Maximum cable length is 10 m.
