What are the ISE20A and ZSE, and who needs them?
The SMC ISE20A series is a high-accuracy digital pressure switch for positive pressure applications, with a measuring range of -0.1 to 1 MPa and a 3-screen, 3-color (red/green/orange) display: the main screen shows the current pressure, and two sub-screens show the setting label and value at the same time. It has 2 switch outputs (NPN or PNP) plus 1 analog output (voltage or current), with a switch response time of ≤1.5 ms for fast feedback on pressure faults.
The ZSE models cover vacuum and compound pressure, including the ZSE20 (basic vacuum type), ZSE20C (non-corrosive liquids, IP65), ZSE30 and ZSE40A. They integrate directly with SMC ZX/ZR vacuum ejectors for applications such as vacuum nozzle monitoring on SMT placement machines and wafer handling in semiconductor processes.

Selection note: the ISE20A is for positive pressure (-0.1–1 MPa) and is not recommended for vacuum circuits. For vacuum monitoring, choose the ZSE series; if the line contains non-corrosive liquid, choose the ZSE20C (IP65).
