Maintenance tips
- Install an air filter with a filtration rating of 5 μm or finer close to the valve on the upstream side, and drain the water from the filter bowl regularly.
- Rubber-seal types are lubricated for life at the factory and need no oiling. However, once lubrication of the system has started, it must be continued, using only ISO VG32 Class 1 turbine oil (no additives); other oils may cause malfunction.
- Too much oil collects in the pilot valve and can make operation slow or stop it; oil should not spray from the exhaust port (E).
- Pressing the manual override moves the connected cylinder, so check the surroundings first. For the push-and-turn locking type, push fully before turning — turning it without pushing will damage it and cause leakage. Do not apply excessive turning force.
- Operate the valve at least once every 30 days; valves left unused for long periods tend to stick.
- When several adjacent stations are energized at the same time for long periods, the coils heat up noticeably and their life is shortened; for this use, choose a type with a power-saving circuit.
