SMC VM1010-4NU-01 miniature mechanical valve
The VM1000 series miniature mechanical valve provides a 3-port poppet valve function in a very small body. It is used where a physical trigger generates the signal, such as stroke detection and part-presence confirmation.
Where miniature mechanical valves are used
On automated equipment, some position signals need a physical trigger rather than an electrical sensor — for example, a push rod touching the valve when a part arrives, or a cam turning a roller lever when it reaches position. The VM1000 series is a miniature poppet valve designed for these cases; the body is only about the size of a finger, so it fits very compact mounting spaces.

Selection note: the VM1010 is the 3-port model (usable as normally closed or normally open); the VM1000 is the 2-port model. “4NU” indicates a one-touch fitting for Ø4 mm nylon tube with bottom piping. Other actuator types (such as plunger, toggle lever and push button) and side-ported versions are also available — ask us. This is general guidance; please confirm for your application.
