A solder paste stirrer (mixing blade) is an essential tool in SMT screen printing: it stops the paste from settling and separating, and stirring is the first step after a jar of paste is opened. SKC series by length: SKC-39 (standard length, small / medium jars), SKC-46 (medium length, common for 500 g jars), SKC-60 (longer, for large jars or high-viscosity red glue) and SKC-76 (long, for large-capacity jars). Choose by jar capacity and depth — a stirrer that is too short will not reach the settled layer at the bottom, and one that is too long is awkward to use. The general white stirrer (L = 256 mm) suits standard SMT solder paste jars; the green series (standard and large) is often used for red glue or on lines that separate materials by colour.
The 6-inch stainless steel spatula (approx. 152 mm) is used to scoop and spread paste directly. It resists solvents better than plastic and lasts longer, but costs more. Stirrers are high-consumption items, so it is worth calculating monthly usage from the number of lines and shifts and buying in batches — this lowers the cost per piece and avoids the quality risk of an opened jar that cannot be used straight away because no stirrer is at hand.

Selection notes
- SKC length by jar size: SKC-39 → 100–250 g jars; SKC-46 → 500 g jars; SKC-60 → large 500 g jars / high-viscosity red glue; SKC-76 → 1 kg jars and up.
- Colour coding: use white stirrers for solder paste and green for red glue — separating by colour reduces the risk of cross-contamination.
- Stainless steel spatula: solvent resistant and long-lasting, for lines with higher material requirements; standard plastic stirrers cost less and are the first choice where usage is high.
