Stainless steel foil just 2 microns thick — handle with care
Stainless steel sheet as thin as 0.01 mm is already uncommon; this SUS304 foil is only 0.002 mm (2 µm) thick, for research and experiments that need an extremely thin metal layer. JIAHON supplies it 100 mm wide in rolls from 1 to 10 m.

How to choose
- Confirm you need 2 µm: stainless sheet and foil from 5 µm upward come in many thicknesses; 2 µm is exceptionally thin and takes more care to handle.
- Unpack and cut carefully: foil this thin tears with slight force. Unpack gently, and cut with a sharp blade on a flat cutting mat.
- Choose length by usage: 1–2 m for trials; 5–10 m rolls for regular use.
Applications
- Substrates or reference samples for materials and thin-film research
- Sensor and electrode research
- Experiments and prototypes that need an extremely thin metal layer
- Teaching experiments in schools and laboratories
Notes
- Thickness tolerance and surface condition are given with the quote.
- Ultra-thin foil wrinkles easily; store it flat and avoid pressure.
