Nozzles are the parts that touch components directly on an SMT placement machine and are among the fastest-wearing spares. Yamaha nozzles come in many bore sizes for different components, and different machines use different nozzle holders, so confirming the part number is the first step.
Why nozzles wear: solder build-up clogging the vacuum hole (clean or replace regularly), chipped nozzle tips (impact or aging), and failed spring cushioning (unreliable seating detection). A common guideline is to inspect nozzles every 500,000 to 1,000,000 placements and keep at least twice the normal usage of common sizes per line. When asking, tell us the machine model and nozzle code, or send a photo.
