Safety latch: Yamaha ZSR / ZSS feeders are used on newer YSM20 / YSM40 high-speed placement machines. ZSR feeders use a cover safety latch (KMV-MC145-00) that keeps the tape cover from opening during operation. Springs: ZSR springs come in two types by function: the safety latch spring (KMV-MC147-00) and the tape cover spring (KMV-MC146-00). They look similar but have different spring rates, so compare with the old part or state the function position when ordering. The two handle springs for YSM20 / YSM40, KHJ-MC16E-00 and KHJ-MC18A-00, serve different return positions in the handle mechanism; mixing them makes the handle feel wrong or lock poorly.
Pull wire and handle gear: the handle pull wire (KMV-MC186-00) transmits the unclamping force on YSM40 / ZSR feeders. It is a thin steel wire rope and breaks easily after repeated use, so keeping 2–3 spares for changeover shifts is worth considering. The handle reel wheel gear (KMV-MC169-00) is part of the ZSR 8 mm electric feeder; confirm the machine uses the electric version before installing.
