XT1N160 TMD trip characteristics
| Trip type | Operating condition | Protection purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Thermal trip (overload) | Sustained overcurrent (adjustable range depends on model) | Long-time protection against equipment overload |
| Magnetic trip (short circuit) | Instant current above the set multiple | Cuts off short circuits immediately to protect the line |
| Front terminal (FF) design | Both upper and lower terminals wired from the front | Saves panel space; no side panel removal for maintenance |

Buying tips
- 3P or 4P: if the distribution system needs neutral protection (TN-S earthing), choose 4P; for general three-phase three-wire systems choose 3P.
- Adjustable TMD setting: the thermal trip current of the XT1N160-TMD20 can be set within R20–450 A, so it suits many kinds of equipment.
- S201 B curve: B-curve magnetic trip at 3–5 × In suits purely resistive loads (lighting, sockets); for small motors choose a C curve instead.
- Spares planning: the XT1N160 series is widely used in factory distribution panels; we suggest standardizing on the same brand as ABB AF series contactors for easier maintenance.
