The Bently Nevada 3300 XL eddy current system is a closed loop of three components: the proximity probe senses shaft displacement, the extension cable carries the electrical signal, and the Proximitor sensor powers the probe and converts its impedance change into a voltage output for the monitor. All three must belong to the same system (5 m or 9 m total length). Whenever one component is replaced, check the system length, or the sensitivity will drift.
Note: the three components must be matched to the same system length; do not mix components from different system lengths.

Replacement notes
- System length must match: the Proximitor’s sensitivity is calibrated for a specific system length (5 m or 9 m). If replacing a probe or extension cable changes the total length, replace the Proximitor with one for the matching system length too, or the output sensitivity (V/mm) will drift and vibration readings will be wrong.
- Standard vs reverse mount: the standard mount probe (330103) is installed from outside the casing and suits installations with enough room; the reverse mount probe (330106) is installed from inside the casing, for positions where space at the bearing housing is limited.
- API 670: the series meets the API 670 machinery protection system standard, for petrochemical plants, power plants and other sites that require compliance.
