An 8 mm eddy current proximity probe that, with a Proximitor® sensor and a 3500 monitor module, forms a complete machinery protection system for turbines, compressors, pumps and other critical rotating equipment.
The Bently Nevada 330105 series is a 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe. It uses contactless eddy current measurement to monitor radial vibration, axial position and speed of a rotating shaft precisely. The probe, a 330130 extension cable and a 330180 Proximitor® sensor form the transducer system, and the signal goes to a 3500 series rack for real-time analysis and machinery protection. All 3300 XL components are interchangeable without calibration and meet API 670 4th edition. Both 330105 and 330106 are reverse mount; the difference is the thread: 330105 is 3/8-24 UNF, 330106 is M10 × 1. Standard mount probes are 330101 / 330102 (3/8-24 UNF) and 330103 / 330104 (M10 × 1). Choose according to the actual installation.
Where the 330105 sits in a vibration monitoring system
Bently Nevada vibration monitoring runs from the sensing end to the monitoring end. The 330105 probe is at the front, sensing shaft displacement and producing a voltage proportional to the gap. The signal travels through the extension cable to the Proximitor® sensor for conditioning, then to a vibration monitor module in the 3500 rack (such as 3500/42 or 3500/44), which performs real-time vibration analysis, alarms and trip protection.
