Ultra-low humidity dry cabinets, JHSX-C series

For moisture-sensitive devices: two humidity grades, five sizes.

Choosing the grade

The JHSX-C series comes in a 1–10% RH grade (general precision electronics) and a 1–3% RH grade (very low humidity). Each grade is offered in five sizes, JHSX-C100 to JHSX-C1450. Unlike household dry boxes (30–60% RH), these cabinets dehumidify actively so the inside really stays below 10% RH. Both grades share the same dimensions, shelves and power; the difference is the precision of the dehumidifying module.

FAQ

Industrial vs. camera dry box? Camera dry boxes usually hold 30–60% RH. JHSX-C actively dehumidifies to 1–10% or 1–3% RH. 30–60% RH cabinets cannot prevent popcorning of moisture-sensitive parts.

What is MSL? The moisture sensitivity level is printed on the moisture barrier bag; a higher number means more sensitive. Floor life after opening, per IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033:

MSLFloor lifeConditions
1Unlimited≤30 °C / 85% RH
21 year≤30 °C / 60% RH
2a4 weeks≤30 °C / 60% RH
3168 h≤30 °C / 60% RH
472 h≤30 °C / 60% RH
548 h≤30 °C / 60% RH
5a24 h≤30 °C / 60% RH
6Bake before useReflow within the time on the label

1–10% or 1–3% RH? As a rule of thumb, lower MSL parts use 1–10% RH and MSL 4 and above use 1–3% RH. Each IC maker sets its own storage conditions; follow the datasheet.

Past floor life? Re-bake the parts; do not just leave them in the cabinet. Bake temperature and time follow the IC maker. Stricter lines add a nitrogen cabinet. Related: programmable oven JHSXH-480.

How to size it? Size by the number of opened reels or trays under control at the same time, not by total stock.

Power use? Rated 19–120 W; up to 133–840 W while the dehumidifier runs. Real consumption depends on door openings and room humidity.
